Opposite Lock is a leading name in 4WD, touring and aftermarket vehicle accessories, and we’re looking for an experienced Automotive Fitter / Accessory Technician to join our Ballarat team.

This is a hands-on role focused on fitting high-quality aftermarket products to customer vehicles, ensuring every job meets our reputation for durability, performance and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of 4WD and aftermarket accessories including:

• Bullbars, nudge bars and side steps

• Towbars and electric brake controllers

• Suspension upgrades and GVM kits

• Roof racks, canopies, drawers and storage systems

• Driving lights, light bars and 12V electrical systems

• Pre-delivery fitment and customer vehicle upgrades

• Conduct quality control checks to ensure all installations meet safety and manufacturer standards

• Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to WHS requirements

• Support the retail team where required with technical advice

About You

• Proven experience as an Automotive Fitter / Accessory Technician, ideally in 4WD or aftermarket accessories

• Strong knowledge of 12V systems and accessory installation

• Experience with suspension upgrades (highly regarded but not essential)

• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

• Current driver’s licence (manual preferred)

• Trade qualification (Automotive) – advantageous
