Grain Handler/Container Forklift Operator – Ballarat Packing Plant

Join a global market leading supply chain business with a proud history of over 70 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Grain Handler who is competent to operate heavy machinery based at our Ballarat site. 

Reporting to our Site Manager, your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of grain receival, storage, containerisation and out-loading of all commodities stored within CHS Broadbent's packing facility.  

The Candidate 

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Minimum of two years' experience working with grain 

• Container forklift experience essential 

• Current drivers licence 

• Forklift ticket (essential) 

• Non-slewing mobile crane operation (CN)

• Appointed Authorised Officer – Dept of Ag, Fish & Forestry (Preferable)  

• Sound communication and interpersonal skills. 

• A strong focus and understanding of OH&S 

• Flexibility is paramount as this position requires additional hours during peak periods. 

• Ability to operate various material handling machines 

• Able to work in team environment 

Remuneration 

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate plus superannuation. Final package will take your skills and experience into account.
