About the role

Vicwest Roofing is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the success of our construction projects. As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is central to maintaining Vicwest Roofing's reputation for excellence and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key responsibilities

  1. Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

  2. Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and company standards

  3. Measure ,order and install flashings as required

  4. Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks to identify potential hazards and promote a safety-first culture

  5. Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and manage expectations

  6. Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, timesheets and documentation

  7. Ensure adequate resources, materials and equipment are available for daily operations

  8. Address and resolve on-site issues promptly and professionally

  9. Promote and enforce health and safety procedures across all site activities


What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreperson within the construction or roofing industry.

  2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes and safety regulations relevant to roofing and construction work

  3. Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise teams effectively

  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

  5. Strong organisational and time management capabilities

  6. Proficiency in reading plans, specifications and technical drawings

  7. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders

  8. A commitment to health and safety practices and a proactive approach to risk management

  9. Physical capability to perform regular site inspections and work in various weather conditions

  10. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

  11. Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction supervision, first aid or health and safety would be advantageous
