About the role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join Enable Living Supports in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to lead our operations and drive strategic growth across our disability support services. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing budgets, ensuring service quality, and fostering a high-performing team culture. This role is pivotal in shaping the direction of our business and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional support to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all operational aspects of Enable Living Supports, including service delivery, staffing, compliance and resource management
Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with organisational objectives and market opportunities
Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability whilst maintaining service quality
Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing management and operational team
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and disability support service standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, partners, and stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practice across all service areas
Monitor key performance indicators and report on organisational performance.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for service expansion
Foster a positive workplace culture that prioritises employee wellbeing and professional development
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a senior management or general management role, preferably within the disability support, healthcare, or community services sector
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans
Excellent financial management skills, including budget planning, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities, with experience building and motivating high-performing teams
Deep understanding of disability support services, person-centred care principles, and relevant regulatory requirements
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build effective partnerships with clients, families, and external organisations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence at all organisational levels
Demonstrated commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement
Relevant tertiary qualification in business management, healthcare administration, or related field is desirable
Current knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and associated compliance requirements is highly valued
