We’re looking for an experienced and innovative Finance & Operations Coordinator to become the operational backbone of Zanda.

This is the kind of role where no two days are quite the same - one moment you might be coordinating global payroll, the next improving a process that makes life easier for the entire team. If you love bringing order to complexity, spotting opportunities to improve how things run, and being the person people rely on to keep things moving, you’ll thrive here.

If you love improving systems, thrive in fast-moving environments, and enjoy being the person who helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounting & Payroll

  • Manage accounts payable, partnering with teams across the business

  • Own invoice and expense coding to maintain clear visibility of business spend

  • Support bookkeeping activities including payroll and receipt entry in Xero

  • Complete bank reconciliations and assist with monthly reporting

  • Prepare and process fortnightly payroll and contractor payments accurately and on time

  • Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and cost optimisation (bonus - no chasing AR!)

Operations & People Support

  • Support everything from payroll and accounts, to team member lifecycle processes. (onboarding, offboarding, documentation)

  • Maintain HR systems (HRIS), ensuring strong data integrity and usability

  • Help create a positive remote culture through company-wide initiatives, events, town halls, wellbeing sessions, and social activities

  • Support internal communications through proofreading and clarity improvements

  • Administer and troubleshoot core tools (Google Workspace, Slack, HR Partner, etc.)

  • Create reports across engagement, compensation, and people analytics

  • Provide general operational and administrative support across the business

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • 3+Years of experience & ownership in accounts and/or operations in a similar environment

  • Hands-on experience managing payroll for a distributed or similar-sized organisation

  • Understanding and experience with Australian financial frameworks (e.g. BAS, Fair Work, superannuation, NES, PAYG)

  • Strong systems proficiency (Xero, Google Sheets, and ideally global payment platforms like OFX or Airwallex)

  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills across multiple workstreams

  • Strong written communication skills, especially in async environments

  • Confident and proactive, self-starter mindset - you take ownership and follow things through

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience working in a remote, global SaaS environment

  • Exposure to HR systems and people operations processes

  • Experience improving or building operational processes from scratch

  • Comfort working with data, reporting, or building dashboards

Who You Are

  • Detail-oriented and take pride in getting things right

  • Process-driven, always looking for innovative ways to improve how things work

  • Someone people naturally trust to follow through and keep things moving

  • Curious and proactive, you ask questions and seek better ways of doing things

  • A strong communicator who can simplify and clarify information for others

  • Able to juggle multiple priorities while staying calm, organised, and solutions-focused

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment

  • You genuinely enjoy helping teams operate more effectively and creating structure that enables others to do their best work
